From an 1980s municipal team to the top of African basketball: the story of a neighbourhood club that became the pride of Dakar.
The Association Sportive et Culturelle Ville de Dakar (ASCVD) carries the colours of the Senegalese capital. Under president Ibrahima Yatma Diaw since 2012, the club has built two elite programmes in parallel: a women's team that dominates the national league and a men's team that, in a single decade, rose all the way to the Basketball Africa League.
